SPOKANE, Wash — The Spokane Shock arena football team has officially joined the Indoor Football League.

The team made the announcement during a press conference on Friday.

The Shock will enter the league in the 2020 season. The season begins in March.

The exact start date has not yet been announced.

The Spokane Shock have not played since 2015, when they were part of the Arena Football League.

The Shock attempted to move to the IFL in 2015, but there were trademark and logo issues as the team tried to depart from the Arena Football League.
