Biography

Two-time MVP QB Charles McCullum is poised to lead the rebirth of the storied Shock franchise.  The 2016 and 2017 MVP, McCullum arrives in Spokane 1,000 yards short of the all-time indoor passing mark.

The Atlanta, Georgia native spent the past two seasons guiding the high-powered Carolina Cobras offense. In 2019, he topped the NAL in Passing Yards (2883), Passing TDs (66), Total Offense Yards (3007), and Total Offense TDs (74) while the team finished second in the NAL.  In Carolina’s inaugural campaign, the Cobras won the 2018 NAL Championship as McCullum once again bested the league in Passing Yards (3,310), Passing TDs (87), Pass Completions (296), Total Offense Yards (3,392) and Total Offense TDs (94).

McCullum quarterbacked the Nashville Venom to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2014 and 2015 including the league championship game his second season as well as leading the 2013 Cedar Rapids Titans to the United Conference Championship.  He began his professional career playing two seasons (2010-2011) for the Kent Predators and Seattle Timberwolves.  The 6’4, 205-pound signal caller played collegiately at Stillman College.
